BNBC Lake Sangchris Results 4-6-08 The Bloomington-Normal Bass Club held it’s 2nd ‘08’ Classic Qualifier on Lake Sangcris on Sunday 4-6-08. First Place was won by D. Norris with a winning weight of 6.11#, which he caught fishing some deeper stumps that he had located earlier. He caught all of his fish on a crankbait cast around these stumps. Dave also had big bass of 3.28# for the tournament. Second Place was won by L. Russell with a weight of 5.67#. Larry caught his fish with a small spinnerbait, and a Frenzy crankbait thrown around pad stems on the edges. Third place was won by K. Peterson with a weight of 4.73#. Kenny caught his bass using a Baby 1 Minus crankbait around pad stems as well. All the tournament participants experienced a big fish absence, much to their surprise. Sangchris has had the reputation of producing some pretty good bags of fish for the club in the past, but not this time. Contestants caught large numbers of fish, but all on the small size, most in the 11~12 inch range. The club had a new category for this tourney for the first time. It was the smallest keeper bag, entry into which was 1 new crankbait, or $5. Brad Norris was the winner, with a with a .82# bass, narrowly beating out J. Menssen who had a .83# bass congratulations Brad! The next BNBC Classic Qualifier will be at Spring Lake on 5-4-08.
** I've got some pictures for this event, lots of small fish ... will be posted soon.
