Tuesday Night Classic Results - 2005
The Tuesday Night Classic was held October 1st and 2nd at Lake Vandalia, fifteen boats fished the classic this year. Day one started cool, most of the field wearing long pants for the first time in quite a while. The day warmed up as the end of the cold front passed which left us with pretty good weather for the day. Unfortunately, the bite was tough and we only had a total of 30 fish weighed in the first day. Jerry Martoglio and David Fritts took the lead on day one with 4 fish weighing 12.84 pounds including big bass that was 5.18. Jamie Maisenbacher and Scott Bree were 2nd with 12.04 pounds in four fish that included one that went 5.13. Dave Norris and Fred Myers had 3 fish and ended day three in third with 9.42. Day 2 was quite a bit warmer and brought wind which was good for some and bad for others. Jerry and David were only able to manage 2 keepers on day 2 and finished with a total of 16.51 pounds in 4th place. Scott and Jamie had 2 the 2nd day as well, however did manage to pull ahead of Jerry and David finishing in 3rd place with 16.79 pounds. Terry and Mike managed the only limit of the tournament and jumped from 4th place all the way up to 2nd finishing with a total of 16.91 pounds. At the end it was Dave and Fred that ended up on top, they had a 5.98 in a 2 fish bag that weighed enough to take the lead, 17.76 pounds total.
